The core technical differences in fully automatic blister folding machines are first reflected in the mechanical structure design. The two-fold machine adopts the most basic symmetrical folding structure, typically equipped with two independent or interconnected folding mechanisms, completing simultaneous folding on both sides through linear or simple curved motion. This design simplifies the transmission system, utilizing cylinders or servo motors for direct drive, with a relatively simple control system and convenient maintenance.

The three-fold machine adds a third folding mechanism on the basis of the two-fold machine, forming a more complex motion system. This design requires addressing the spatial layout and temporal coordination of the three folding units, typically employing a central controller to coordinate the action sequence of each unit and avoid interference. The transmission system of the three-fold machine often uses a combination of indexers and cams to ensure precise timing control of the folding actions.

The four-fold machine represents the highest level of complexity in blister folding mechanical design, requiring four sets of folding mechanisms to achieve comprehensive协同 work. Advanced four-fold machines adopt a modular design, with each folding unit independently controllable, achieving millisecond-level synchronization through a bus system. This structure not only requires precise mechanical processing but also advanced control algorithms to optimize the motion trajectory of the four axes, ensuring perfect synchronization even under high-speed operation.

In terms of material adaptability, folding machines of different structures also exhibit varied performance. The two-fold machine primarily handles blister sheets with a thickness of 0.3–0.8 mm; the three-fold machine can process a variety of materials ranging from 0.2 mm to 1.0 mm; the four-fold machine boasts the widest range of material adaptability, stably folding materials from ultra-thin sheets of 0.15 mm to thickened sheets of 1.2 mm, thanks to its finer pressure control and optimized folding curves.
